Alan Schaefer

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

As a result of growing up around the timber business, Alan knew what path he would take at a very young age. He attended Clemson University where he majored in Forestry and immediately started his career in the forest products industry. After spending five years on the procurement side with Canal Wood and Jordan Lumber Alan ventured into the insurance sector and has been with FMIC Insurance Agency for the past five years. His territory includes GA, SC, lower piedmont of NC, and eastern TN. 

Interest was always with the loggers and having a better understanding of their challenges in order to be more effective. Working one on one with loggers is what drew him to the Insurance side of the business, having the chance to work closely with business owners from various states within our territory. Alan currently resides in Blythewood, SC.
